Outlets and switch's

Outlets and switch's are used on a daily basis in most of our homes. It is critical to make sure they are in good working order. With GJC's Electrical inspection we test all the outlets and switches through out your home. What are some warning signs to look for. If your outlets or switches get warm to the touch they should be inspected. If your outlets are broken in any way shape or form (plastic cracked, Plugs falling out, ect) they should be changed. 

GFCI's

What are GFCI's 
GFCI's are Ground Fault Circuit Interupters
Ground Fault Circuit Interupter device protects us from receiving any electric shocks from faults in the electrical devices we use in our home. It works by comparing the input current on the line side to the output current on the neutral side. 
GFCI's are required in the following areas: 
Laundry room
Bathrooms 
Kitchens 
Unfinished basements
Outdoor outlets 
Garbage disposal outlets
